Please see the email below. Is this legal! We want a refund not postponement.
Meant to go on a hen weekend to York in a couple of weeks. Booked an activity package for murder mystery dinner, cocktail making and night club etc.
Hi,
We are continuing to monitor and follow the advice from the Government as well as the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) regarding Coronavirus. These are unprecedented times that continue to evolve daily. We are living through something none of us had expected nor experienced in our lifetimes, and at these uncertain times we need to work together to make sure that life can return to ‘normal’ as soon as possible.
We are keeping our website updated accordingly; and any previous information is now superseded.
Following advice of Public Health England, we are postponing all bookings for groups travelling before the end of June 2020. The Government have severely restricted movement within the UK and the EU has closed its borders. As per the booking terms agreed your event will be postponed rather than cancelled and as such not refunded. The option is there for a credit for a postponement for another event in any one of our 47 locations for any activity in 2020. It is no fault of yours or ours, Force Majeure, things are completely out of our control.
To provide the best service our team continue to work hard behind the scenes to reach out to everyone affected in priority of departure date order and we appreciate your patience.
If your travel date is in:
April - we will contact you by the end of this week to arrange a new date.
May - we will contact you by 17th April to reschedule
June - we will contact you before Friday 1st May to reschedule your event too.
We are expecting an exceptional amount of calls and the focus of our team currently is contacting Group Leaders where travel is imminent (i.e in the next one or two weeks). E-mail is therefore advised and we are responding to all e-mails in priority date order.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. We’re all going to need something to look forward to at the end of this crisis! 😊
Kind Regards,
Rebecca Hagger
Event Coordinator

It says "as per the booking terms agreed". If you agreed them, and this reflects them, they can do as they are saying.0
