House move: disposing of furniture

Hi,
I'm currently selling my house (chain free) in a couple of weeks. I've been assured by the estate agent and the buyer that the deal is still going on.
The buyer doesn't want any of the furniture so we were going to either bin it or give it to charity. Given the recent developments, all the tips are closing and charity shops aren't doing any collection services.

Any suggestions of the best way we could get rid of the items? It's typical stuff (bed, settee, fridge, desk) but also an electric cooker that needs disconnecting.

What are you going to use in your new property?
Offer it FOC on FB selling page / gum tree. Also bear in mind people are in at home, and shouldn't be going out, following the gov. guidelines.

    Bonfire?
Not the fridge or cooker obvs.
No one will take your potentially virus infected goods at this time, and you should not be offering them.

Do you have a garage or garden ? It's possible you could agree with your buyer that you will dispose of the items once this crisis calms down, or simply pay the buyer a few hundred to cover disposal costs

It's worth bearing in mind if your buyer was planning on new furniture he/she maybe grateful for some of the furniture short term, if there is delays to the new furniture
