Furlough?? How is it worked out?

I am wondering if anyone can help with some advice. My husband has been furloughed but we are unsure as to what that means? He is contracted for 20 hours/per week but for the last several years has worked 40+ per week. Will it be based on an average or his last payslip etc? TIA for any guidance on this?

I don't think anyone knows the answer to this yet.
The most comprehensive information available at the moment seems to be here,

Nobody knows. The government have not provided details of the scheme yet so we have no information on which to base an answer.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
