DRO and sim only contracts

Hi

I'm 2 months into a DRO and my sim only plan is coming to an end, I've been paying £20 for sim only, and £25 for a sim free phone, both are coming to an end, I can upgrade to a full contract with o2 with the o2 refresh the phone part would be £480, but the monthly payment £40 so £5 less than i'm paying now. There's nothing wrong with my phone, so another option is changing to Vodafone sim only for £20 per month over 12 months (£240)

As both options are under the £500 is this ok, or do I still need permission, as although the bill is a set amount every month I know there's the ability to run up big bills, although my bill has never been more than £20 per month

Thanks

I think your fine to get sim only with a DRO, I’m not convinced it’s wise to rush into a contract to get a brand new phone if not required

i would also be looking at voxi (Vodafone) and smarty (three) as they maybe a lot cheaper, and don’t tie you into a contract
