New Build purchase - still proceed with all current construction talk?

Back in Feb we put down a reservation on a brand-new build property, which technically was off plan as at the time they'd only built as far as the ground floor windowsill. It's a HTB property, we got approved for HTB straight away and got approved for a mortgage - first time we've been approved having been declined 5 or so…

Thought I'd update this. It's now Nov 16th... Paid half the deposit in the end, signed and exchanged contracts. House still not finished having been pushed back from June to Aug, to Oct, to mid-November and now to Christmas week(!)

The struggle now is that "completion date" - week commencing Dec 21st. Yeah, don't think movers will be working that close to Xmas in this environment, then there's all the white goods to get delivered AND other furniture. All in the run up to Christmas. Sheesh!

On the other hand, Dec 30th is the long-stop date... Could just sack it all off lol.
