Hi all, I am experiencing the same dilemma. I started work with my new job on the 16th March as a full time employee. I worked for 3 days then then the pub closed. I'm very worried as I also read about only being furloughed if you have had an income from that employer in February. As far as I can see after lots of online research, there is nothing out there yet from the government regarding people in our situation. In Martin lewis's video on advice to employees he said he knew someone who had signed a contract and was a day away before starting a the new job. He advised that as they had no income in feb from that employer, they should contact their old employer and furlough with them. Which could work from some people. Not for me though as I was a self employed chef before taking up my new job. So I would only be able to apply for universal credit.Does anyone know when the HMRC guidelines on the 80% government subsidies will be released?
