Seasonal work

Hi just looking for some advice. I was due to start a seasonal job on 1 April in the tourist industry. I’ve been told it won’t start then and will be reviewed on 1 May. Although I can’t see it starting then either I am hoping it will start in the summer at some point. Does anybody know of anything I can claim which doesn’t involve looking for another job as I want to hold out for this one. I am married and my husband is working from home because of the corona virus but hopefully should be paid. Thank you.

Your situation is very similar to mine. There have been answers posted in my thread here which may be of some help.If you can qualify for jobseekers allowance, I would apply. You are unlikely to qualify for Universal Credit if your husband is still employed.
