Work shut down, getting the 80% in due course.

Employer shut down, going ahead with the 80% salary for staff whilst doing so (which is much lower than the 2.5k limit, circa 1k)
My question - is there anything to stop me getting an additional job whilst I am off from my career for the next 2 months.
I.e. a supermarket job for say 25 hours a week or something to give me some more income in this time? Whilst still getting the 80% whilst furloughed?
If my current employer says they are happy for that to go ahead? where does it leave me/them in terms of rules etc? Anyone know?
Thank you very much,

No problem to the furlough as far as we can tell thus far. The scheme is given to businesses to fund the salary of furloughed workers rather than directly to the workers - so it would seem what you do with your furloughed time is between you and your employer.
You will need to check with your employer it's OK and give them details about your other employment if they need it. They may refuse you if it becomes a conflict of interest (for example if you start working and consulting for your employer's competitor).
The next point is about how you'd go about finding the job and staying within advice and guidelines.
Naturally you could attend a supermarket to interview for vacancies, NHS volunteer drive etc. Skype interviews and a work from home job...
