Made redundant

I am at risk category and have been advised on Monday to stay home for 12 weeks.  Last Friday my employer knowing that I was at risk made me redundant. He is paying me a months notice.  Am I entitled to anything further after this period please. I struggle with my health and will probably find it difficult to find a suitable job when thus is over.  My husband does not work.  Really appreciate any advice.  Thank you  Kmae

Hi, do you have any contract paper for your current employment? It would state what is the minimum notice period for both parties.
Also, how long have you worked there? You have more rights if you have worked in same place for more than 2 years.

Do you know what is happening to your role since you have been made redundant?

I am dismayed to hear that they have made you redundant because you could not work for 12 weeks due to coronavirus. Employers should not be doing anything of the sort at this time.
If you have been employed for over 2 years you can consider bringing an unfair dismissal claim against them.

Otherwise your fall back option will be universal credit.

I am just short of 2 years there and on the redundancy letter they state that it was due to the sake of one of the companies and covid. Called and they will not reinstate me for furlough as they were going to make me redundant anyway because of sale of company and the covid just escalated this.  What can I claim after my final salary comes through please.

Look at Universal Credit. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/universal-credit/   There are online calculators to help you assess entitlement  https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
