Commission Based Job

This might be a daft question and an obvious no.. I'm in a largely commission based job with a big loss of earnings as a result of Covid-19. Full time, not self employed. Any government support for this scenario?

 don't think the details have been worked out, but I think the main focus will be on protecting the basic salary. I believe for most people they will be better off with this, than the alternative of being made redundant and needing to go on  universal credit

I am also in a commission based job and my basic represents only 50% of my salary. I have read around a lot on this and whilst it hasn’t yet been confirmed as I understand it this is likely to be based on earnings over a defined period. Which if right would be great as it takes into account variable pay. I mean the only way they can check this is through the PAYE system so this would make sense. Otherwise it would be open to abuse. Of course until it’s confirmed we won’t know but there are a lot of people like us who rely on their commission to pay bills. I’ve read several things where people say it’s just a bonus you won’t get that which makes me angry. It’s an integral part of some industries.
