Working From Home v Working From Office

I'm trying to seek some further clarity.
I fully understand the Government advice/instructions and the reasons for this.
Where possible I have staff working from home. We have (today) myself and one other at the office to take calls and respond to emails as well as continue with work in hand as best we are able. We operate a Payroll bureau and have many clients seeking reassurance and further information at this time which simply cannot all be conducted from home. We understand that the Payroll element (at least) of our operation has attained Key Worker status and hence this is our rationale for cautiously
We, much like many other Accountants and Tax Advisors, have a great deal of anxious clients to try and reassure, advise and help through this difficult period and we're trying to keep on top daily updates to adjust our advice accordingly.
Quite simply, where do we stand with traveling to and from the office for the sole purpose of performance of duties.
Any assistance will be appreciated.

Are you asking whether you can travel to and from the office under lockdown? Are you talking about commuting or client visits? The guidance is not totally clear, but I believe that you don't have to judge whether the job you go to is essential. You are only discouraged from commuting to work if that work can be done from home, and you say it can't.0
