    The rules state (for the core group) that if the energy company is part of the scheme, then they become liable to pay if the person is a customer of theirs on the July (cannot remember the day) qualifying date.
    This being the case, then this money should be paid into the estate of your mother.   Keep at them until you manage to get through to someone with some clout.

    As above, just escalate and escalate (they know this word when it comes to complaints) i.e. go over their heads until you get to a level that is able to do something other than parrot from a stonewalling script.  You really do need to be like a dog with a bone to get anywhere with this level of... capability.

    I always find the CEO a good place to start they send it down the line but normally they are told to make the payment as the application was before the death and most likely the DWP will have sent the confirmation of pension credit before her death.
    Someone please tell me what money is
