Wife self employed - Husband employed

Hi - We have no idea how we are to cope. My wife is a childminder and has had to close her business for 90% of the children she looks after. At this point in time every avenue we look to seek help seems to be a dead end because my wage is too high. We have rent to pay and I will struggle to pay 100% on just my wage alone as well as other bills. How are people in a similar situation coping? We are not entitled to universal credit because I earn too much. We don't seem to be eligible for a discounted rent as our landlord owns the property outright.

You don't get a discounted rent if your landlord has a mortgage. There is a ban on evictions at present, so talk to your landlord or his agent and explain you may need a bit more time to pay.
