In New Zealand but not due to fly til 5 May

I am currently in New Zealand as we are about to go into lockdown. There are 3 of us (one aged 84). We left London on 30 January and arrived in NZ on 1 February with Cathay Pacific (transiting in Hong Kong). We are due to fly back with Cathay from Auckland to Heathrow via Hong Kong on 5 May (arriving in London on 6 May). The return trip was booked with BYOJet. We have annual worldwide travel insurance bought through Insure and Go. As our trip to NZ was more than 90 days we were charged extra to cover the whole trip up to our return on 6 May.
As yet we have heard nothing from BYOJet or Cathay Pacific. Given that we are not due to be travelling in the next 72 hours and the websites ask not to call unless we are, I have emailed BYOJet and Insure and Go to ask where we stand. No reply as yet.
We are able to stay in NZ as long as necessary as long as BYOJet/Cathay 'respect' our return flight and the NZ Government allow us to stay after 6 months should that be necessary.
We have registered with NZ High Commission for updates, having given them (as requested on the website) passport details, etc.
Two questions...
Any thoughts appreciated.

- Should I be doing anything else?
- What is the situation likely to be with Insure and Go, as there was special extra charge to cover our more than 90 days holiday (30 January-5 May), if we are forced to stay longer than 5 May. Will any potential claims be jeopardised if we were to stay longer than 5 May because we can't fly out?
Any thoughts appreciated.

I'd say it's too early to know. Would you want to be repatriated now?
My insurer has a limit of 42 days on a trip. I'm supposed to be in New Zealand until 8th April, which looks likely to be extended as my flight is cancelled. My insurer has assured me my cover will be extended as long as I'm stuck here.
If there are flights before the 8th I'll bail out early. You need to make your own decisions on that, but I wouldn't expect anything including flights to be back to normal by May.1 -
What happened did you stay?
