First-Time Buyer Mortgage (Scotland)

Evening folks,
Myself and my girlfriend are first-time buyers. Our mortgage (bank staff mortgage) has been approved and sent by the bank to our solicitor. I understand that mortgages once approved are valid for a certain length of time. With this current epidemic and with property sales currently suspended (here in Scotland), would you imagine that the mortgage offer will be extended given the circumstances? Many thanks in advance
