I had an interview for a job on Feb 28th and a job was offered on 3rd March. I handed my notice in with my employer and as I had a holiday booked for last week I started in new role Monday 23rd March. Will I be entitled to receive 80% pay from the government.
The company has closed and is operating as emergency call outs only and I have been told they will try and get me the pay I’m entitled to.

The Job Retention Scheme is available to employers if they choose to apply for it. They are not obligated to do so. Your employer needs to decide what they want to do (within the terms of your contract of employment).
