I have no idea but you should report them if you can find a category that covers it.

Behind the counter at a chemist with a pharmacist present you can get boxes of 100.

Not sure eBay sellers go thru the same training as a pharmacist, KxMx. Whole point of limiting amounts was to stop overdoses, accidental or otherwise.
  • It is a bit of a grey area where paracetamol is concerned since its not really considered a drug as such in terms of not requiring a licence to sell it so in ebays view its perfectly fine to sell. I would say over inflated prices now would see such listing removed considering there is a real need for these. It would need to be reported. People are simply making vast amounts of profit for what is normally a cheap product and its disgusting at a time like this.

except that nobody's forced to buy them on ebay. If people are too stupid or lazy to go into a chemist for them, there's not a lot to be done. There are more important things to spend one's time being concerned about right now. The chemists have plenty, we bought 100 last week.
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....
  • You say nobody is forced to buy them yet for some they are the only place to obtain. If you live in remote areas or your local pharmacy has sold out then you look online. The reason why there is a shortage is that people have been bulk buying maybe not all with the reason to resell but its lead to a vast amount of resellers putting prices up due to demand.

If you actually watch ebay all the listings get pulled, there are virtually no UK listings for paracetamol at all, not even low amounts.

A pharmacist can supply a maximum of 100 tablets (but would not normally do so) and packets are limited to 32 from a pharmacy or 16 over the counter in supermarkets and so on.
There is are very good reasons for this, an overdose unless treated promptly will irrevocably damage your liver. It is a common drug used in overdose, frequently by troubled adolescents. Too often they underestimate the risk and cause permanent liver damage.
The force is strong in this one!
  • I used to buy a fair bit from Boots online so I thought I'd have a look on there to see the paracetamol situation.
    However, I've changed my mind:
