Brittany Ferries Profiting over Covid19 Coronavirus

In November last year we booked a cruise to Spain so that we could take up a tour of Northern Spain in May. This tour has now been cancelled by that operator. We have now received an email from BF informing us that they are to take our final balance in the next few days. They have cancelled all crossing to Spain and France until mid-April and given the advice in the UK and dire situation in Spain it is clear that no services will operate in May to honour our booking. It is impossible to make contact with BF, their phone lines have been disconnected, they dont look at or respond to emails or Facebook posts, and are relying on their T&Cs to forfeit deposits if the bookings are cancelled. I accept that companies are having a hard time but this is profiteering and fleecing the people who might have been their future customers. Does anyone have any ideas on the potential way forward. If I claim on travel insurance I have to declare that claim in future applications and this will count against me.
