Three Separate Issues Re Cancellations

Hi All,

We would really appreciate some advice please regarding a holiday booked for next month please.

We had purchased tickets for the Monte Carlo Masters tennis tournament. The event was cancelled a couple of weeks ago and the event organisers have been in touch to advise they are currently working through the procedures of refunding all customers for the ticket costs.

The flights were booked through British Airways and involved a flight from Newcastle to Nice with a transfer at Heathrow.

Over the last few weeks BA have contacted several times, firstly changing seats (on more than one occasion) which had been paid for to select.

The flight from Newcastle to Heathrow has been cancelled once and re-scheduled, and BA were in touch again yesterday to advise the flight from Heathrow to Nice has been cancelled (for the third time) and been re-scheduled and are still going along with the line that the flights are still due to go ahead on 10th April.

On the BA website the link for a full refund takes you through to the voucher system rather than the full refund back into my account. The voucher having a time limit is of no use as we have will be unable to make such a trip again within the next 12 months.

The hotel was booked separately through Booking.com (non-refundable) and the hotel have been in touch over the past few days asking me to confirm we are still due to arrive on the 10th but also have advised they understand if we cancel and also offering a valid credit for the tennis 2021.

What is the best order to deal with these points and at what stages it comes to going through the credit card or insurance.

Many thanks,
Terry
