Booking with NetFlights, Tickets with Lufthanser Flights with LH, SG and BA

We arrived back from Sydney cutting short our trip by 8 Days due to Covid 19.
We had a flight only booking with Netflights with ticketing provided by Lufthansa, on our second day in Sydney, Singapore Airlines canceled our flight from SIN to MUN leaving flights SYD to SIN and MUN to MAN operating. SG did not provide new/alternative flights to us and Netflights advised us to purchase a ticket from SYD to MAN from a travel agent in Sydney. They say we may get a refund for our return journey.
Net flights where useless and provided little support, the British Embassy just said get home ASAP, our insurance via First Direct say they can't cover the costs due to not "missing the flight" and they don't cover for cancellations, we are out of pocket by nearly 7.5K because of the new flights with Etihad to Manchester.
