Paying in instalments: Should I canncel holiday?

Due to travel to Portugal on 10th April and booked through Loveholidays, flying with Ryanair.
paying in instalments, last payment due to come out tomorrow. Both LH and RA have emailed me to confirm it will not be going ahead and RA have said I should change my dates.
Ive read T&Cs on travel insurance, ‘prohibitive restrictions by any government is not covered’.
With a lot of people now being denied refunds, if I cancel the booking or cancel the card the payment is due to be taken from, where do I stand?
As a last resort I’m hoping to claim from my credit card company.

Ask LH whether you need to make the payment to get a refund or voucher.
If you cancel the card, the payment will still go through via the pre-authorisation, but you will have no card to use for other purchases. The card is just a payment method, not the holiday contract.0 -
