My MoT is coming due. Am I allowed to take it in for testing? I need a car to go food shopping.

Mine is going in next Saturday.
Its only been 75 mins since the announcement, give it time for a full list of exempt premises to come out. Garages may have to close or they may be allowed to stay open, we have no idea yet
If they shut then a system of exemptions will have to come in like what happened in Northern Irelans recently.
As an aside, places like Halfords are exempt from the Easter Sunday trading laws, i assume because of the service they offer. Maybe the same applies here, we shall see.0 -
I'm in a similar situation. Had my MOT done on Friday and it failed. I've had the car fixed but need to get it retested. They said it has to be done within 10 working days. Also, need it passed by the end of the month or I can't get the road tax either. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

Thank you. Lets just hope that my MOT station has decided to stay open as I've already paid for it and only need to go back for the free retest.bradders1983 said:And now the DVSA have said they continue.
