Due to the cornavirus I have had to close business and due to having asthama self isolate.
I applied online for UC but non of the questions were cornavirus related so I couldnt explain the reason whilst now I have no income, so on paper my application didnt really give a reason.
Tried to phone them all day today but can never get through, im guessing lotsof people in the same boat as myself.
I would like to know how long I am expected to wait before I hear anything as im gussing it could be weeks! This could put myself and my family in a terrible position, im hating the uncertainly of all this.

You don’t need a reason. If you want to provide more information that captured by the questions simply post a narrative message in your online journal - that’s what it’s for.
however you do normally need to ring them to complete the claim process - not sure if that is changed or not at the moment. Your UC journal will have a task list telling you what you need to do.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
