All you women out there!! What would be good presents for you

Im just wondering what sort of good presents you would all like.

Im looking for some inspiration for my ace girlfriend.

We live together, have done for 2 years. I am 27 and she is 24.

A real girly girl, all pink, make-up and attention seeking. lol! :p

Just wondering what good stocking fillers and pressies you think you would all like.

No real budget really, no jewelery probably up to £100.

I am considering a weekend away in Paris as ive not been there. But im weighing up all the costs as ive just layed out for a new car lease.

Cheers in advance

    Erm.... stocking fillers

A good nail file or manicure set
    Hand cream
Foot lotion with a note on it promising a foot massage
    Nice mascara
Bath bombs or something pink from Lush
    Pretty hair clip
    Hair brush
    Nice shampoo/conditioner

Pink phone case or ipod case
    Handbag or phone charm
    Compact mirror
    Little furry teddy bear
    Pink pens or stationary
    Heart shaped chocolates
    Purse
    Pink scented candles
    Packet of love heart sweets

Not sure about main pressie though - I'm not really a girly girl so I wouldn't know what to suggest. Northensal's idea sounds good.

I'd be quite happy with the holiday thank you :D
  • tummy tuck, but seeing as how that's out of limit.
Paris sounds lovely, but tbh a night's b&b in a cute cotswold village would be lovely. Was driving through them all today, thinking, ooh that looks nice, and that, and that!
    I'd love a stay here! http://www.puddingclub.com/pc_breaks.lasso

A weekend away in the UK (cheaper than Paris and nicer)
Some spa treatments at my local beauty parlour (some of them do gift vouchers)
A £100 cash to spend in one day and every thing must be spent otherwise there would be a forfeit (its great fun to do in London)
    Books etc
Sorry but I don't do Pink.

the following are samples of things my gorgeous (and very romantic) dh has previously put in my stocking over the years (priced from a few pence to a lot of pounds, some very traditional... some more unusual) that I've really appreciated:

little bag of heart shaped jelly beans
    funky gloves/scarf
    perfume
    book and/or magazine
    fav bath goodies
DVD of soppy romantic film... sort he'd hate but knows I'd love! :o
CD of fav music and/or romantic songs
Little book of promises ('vouchers' for things he will do for me.... breakfast in bed, shoulder massage... 'naughty but nice things' ;) etc)
    heart shaped rug
black pen covered in little red hearts
stained glass heart-shaped mobile (I LOVE anything heart-shaped):D
Pair of slippers with LO on one foot and VE on the other .....inside (you've guessed it... heart shapes)! :D
Little bottle of my fav tipple (or liquer chocolate)
Mug with 'World's Sexiest Woman' written on it! :o
Plane tickets for a two night trip to Venice (IMHO a MUCH more romantic city than Paris... can fly very cheaply on Ryanair and we know a lovely little B&B that's not too pricey)
Pretty nightie (easier to guess size for a nightie than any other item of clothing)!
Subscription to 'Readers Digest' as he knows I love reading all the anecdotes but won't buy it for myself just for those!
An orange, some nuts, some chocolate coins and a sugar mouse (I HATE sugar mice but they're a tradtition in our family... so makes me laugh that I have to have one)
Funny little toys and puzzles (sort of things you get from somewhere like Hawkins Bazaar)
Pack of cards with instructions (he'd written himself) on how to play strip poker! :o:o:o:o

If I think of any more I'll post them!

  • I think I'm getting a greenhouse but I don't think your gf would be too keen!

    - Perfume
    - Trip to a spa (London / Bath)
    - Ipod
    - Pink phone (but they are a little chavvy)
  • I've got a pink phone waaaahhhh I'm a chav! :rotfl:

I'd like some clinique make up bits, they do lots of bit and pieces on ebay which are great stocking fillers, some chocolate, some pink wine, some vouchers for favourite clothes shop, snuggly socks and lots of books.

Ob the Paris theme, if you can't go to Paris, can you not bring Paris to her? Perhaps put in a voucher for a Paris evening and then you can cook a french meal, have french wine etc. Or a french hamper?
  • If you are looking for makeup, skincare, etc you could also try strawberrynet.com

I recently ordered things online from them (including clinique powder) and it was very cheap. The parcel was well packaged and the items were also gift wrapped. Postage was free.

Something to beware of with Strawberrynet is that the items are coming from Hong Kong so you can get stung for import tax which can wipe out the money you might have saved.

I would also go for Elemis, whether you go for day spa or just the products themselves, they are very luxurious and will make your lady feel a million dollars
