Ticketmaster said I need to try and sell the tickets myself and I don't wish to have to do this? I found a link online can I hold them to it?

Not sure what or when this concert is but I find it hard to believe it will go ahead in the near future and therefore will be cancelled (automatic refund based on that page) or postponed (and may not get a new date or venue for some weeks/months until we know what's happening).
Otherwise if you want to bail out now I would suggest you follow their process as documented on the page and await an outcome. However, expect it to take a while for action. All ticket booking agencies will be facing an extreme demand for refunds in a way they probably have never prepared for. That given the constantly changing circumstances of when events can safely be held in future is not known by anyone.
So, you might have to sit tight and wait and see what happens. You won't be alone.

Ticketmaster announced the Queen gig changed to 2021. In December i sold the tickets through Ticketmaster (within 10 mins they sold), i was told i will not receive my refund until 12 days after the gig took place (July 2020) This is odd as the new buyer had paid for the tickets already and i do not have any physical tickets as none were issued.

Now due to Covid-19 the gig has changed to July 2021 and i have been told i have to wait for refund until 12 days after the new date. This seems very unfair It just appears that the vendor keeps all money in banks to earn interest. This money is needed more then ever and i shouldn't have to wait that long for a refund on something which has legally sold to someone else. Anyone have any advise at all?

I am going to speak with my Credit card company next to see if i can get a refund.

    TIA
  • I'm in the same position, but I had the paper tickets, posted them I've got confirmation the tickets were received by the buyer.  Did you get any luck from your credit card company? Ticketmaster should not be able to hold on to this money for so long.

We had a cancelled concert scheduled for June - TicketMaster were pretty good really - refund was slower than usual (to be expected) but it did appear.
Never heard about having to try and sell tickets for a rescheduled event tho, have always had a message asking it we would attend or require a refund.

Would presume the first step would be to contact them stating that the new date is not a viable option for you and that you request a full refund.

I had three sets of Tickets to an event in LA for March but the event was postponed, at first Ticketmaster said they would not refund until it was cancelled but have since refunded. I also bought better seats for the same event but via StubHub, I have those tickets in my possession with “Ticketmaster” all over them but because those were from StubHub there will be no refund, unless the postponed event is actually cancelled. If I cannot attend the rescheduled event they tell me to resell them via StubHub.  Depending when/if the event does happen I might still be able to attend. Are you sure your tickets were bought direct from Ticketmaster, rather than StubHub?
