Gov's WTC increase- via Coronas Virus update

Just noticed this generous increase on Gov site which could be useful.
 From 6 April we are increasing the standard allowance in Universal Credit and the basic element in Working Tax Credit for 1 year. Both will increase by £20 per week on top of planned annual uprating. This will apply to all new and existing Universal Credit claimants and to existing Working Tax Credit claimants.

Yes its a £1000 a year top up, as i understand it payments will start on May 12th (5 weeks after 6th April)

Thanks @venison, that's useful info, I had thought payments started from early April, though if it's May it is still very useful indeed
for 12 months.
Have I just found additional sum to add to my HL Fund.
Edited if wtc increase does go ahead as planned, then it could be possible to reduce debt a few months, in addition to HL fund increase.
