They've apparently also increased the mobile allowance, don't know any further details as my sibling was quite surprised by it when they told him.

I got it capped to reduce the monthly cost, I was and still am using less than 20gb/month average so it made sense to get the saving of £20/month

You can pay not too much more than £20 per month total (including line rental) for FTTC broadband with unlimited usage, so I've no idea how Duncan thinks he's saving that much per month.
