Universal credit journal

Hello,
I have tried contacting UC but as I assumed, they're crazy busy and no luck on the phones..
Me and my partner both claim universal credits, she works part time and is still operating as a key worker. I am a chef, and now my restaurant has temporarily closed due to corona virus..
Now for the confusing bit-
UC states that I still need to make sure I make a note in my journal that I have been affected.
When I click on 'change of income' it asks whether I am employed (yes) and how many hours I usually work (Obviously 0 at the moment) and how much money I usually earn.. Now what do I put there? Because we haven't heard off the government how they're going to calculated this. Do I put down 80% of my average pay, assuming that's what I will get?
The other option was to put down that I am off sick with SSP, but that isn't the case..
I really want to update my journal so they can see what date I stopped working, but have no idea on what to press..
Anyone else in the same position, or anyone who has managed to update their journal, if you could tell me what you do, I would be incredibly grateful.
Many thanks, hope you are all well :-)

If you don't know I would put nil. I would then enter a longer message in the journal explaining the situation and that you are waiting to hear if your employer will be paying anything. In reality it shouldn't matter what you put, if you are paid your employer will notify HMRC who will notify DWP and your UC will be calculated based on the reported earnings.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.2 -
Thanks for your comment.
Unfortunately when I type 0, it comes up with an error message.. Understandable as I've put that I'm employed, my hours are 0 and my pay is 0. So I've had to leave it for now.
I have written a note in my journal but I'm sure it won't be read for some time as I'm sure they're busy.
Thanks again0 -
JTV93 - don't worry about it for the moment.Report a Change - Work and Earnings is like an on/off switch that either states whether you are working or not. As you are still employed, although your hours have drastically reduced at present, you don't strictly need to report a change as you do still have a job.Wait and see what happens. If the job officially ends then you can report that change, but for now it's just your hours have reduced. If you are concerned, just put a note in your Journal to cover yourself but DWP staff are busy with other priorities at the moment2

You don't need to update anything, if your earnings do down, the RTI feed will tell them your earnings and the award will be calculated on what earnings are received as per normal.
