Hi,
Does anyone know of insurance companies that would insure a flat for buildings and contents located above a commercial property? I have tried Aviva who have agreed they will but their quote was pretty pricy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You may be better going through an insurance broker. They will have experience of 'non-standard' policy requirements.
