Some communities are passing out coloured cards to use as signals in your window

I've heard of more than one case across the country of coloured cards being posted through neighbourhood letterboxes. The idea is that one colour card signals "I'm fine" and the other signals "I need help". Residents put the appropriate card on display in their window. If you see that a neighbour needs help, you can post your phone number through their letterbox so that you can find out how to assist them.
It's worth noting that colour codes vary across different communities which is a good thing - there's always that small chance that a scammer or criminal passing through might see a 'help' signal as a predatory opportunity, so it's handy if only neighbours know what the colours mean.
Do you have anything like this set up in your area?
