Ongoing Claim but what about renewal?

I have an ongoing claim for insurance but my current brokers have said they will not be offering me an insurance quote because I have claimed twice (was burgaled by the same person twice who thankfully now is behind bars).

How do I look for new insurance if there is still an existing claim ongoing? What happens if I change to another insurance company?

your well within your rights to change to another insurance company, just tell them the facts and go from there.

You may find your ins has gone up due tot he bulgary, but shop around.

  • but dont they ask for the size of the claim / loss. I dont know that until the insurer pays out cos they have not as yet.

All you would do is explain that the matter is still being dealt with by the other insurer, as they have refused to give you a quote then I wouldnt worry asmuch.

do you have a rough idea of what your claim is worth, say new of old, if you have a rough idea, the new ins company can always contact the old ins company for further info, as they all share details.
