Agency worker advice

Hope someone can help me.
I am worried for my mum.
She works for an agency and has been working for Arcadia through the agency for 7 month. Last week she was only called in 1 day, now there is no work.
Her husband does not work due do severe anxiety.
When she spoke to universal credit they say she is not entitled to any help due to earning £482 in the last month and there is no help towards her mortgage, which she has been struggling to pay for sometime. Does anyone know what she can do?
Thanks

Her mortgage lender should offer a mortgage holiday for up to 3 months. Get back on to UC and get her in the system. Her income has reduced to zero so she should become entitled to UC unless it goes up again.

If that was the only income they received as a couple they would be entitled to some UC. Money received before claiming is ignored anyway. Based on the limited information you have provided it sounds like bad advice.
You can assess entitlement by using an online calculator https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
