How to find newly listed FTSE100/250 companies?

sxx was a company thought by many to be a rising star, which left AIM , got a main listing and went straight into the 250 index. I think it had a market cap of circa 1.5 billion. The shareprice had at one stage been around 50p but last autumn everything went pear-shaped and the share price crashed. The company is now being sold with shareholders being offered 5.5p per share , leaving many shareholders with very large losses.Investing in new companies is risky, even if everything seems sweetness and roses when you invest.0
