AA parts & garage cover
Any recent experiences as I am considering getting this one?
I understand it doesnt cover wear and tear but I am not clear if it covers all other parts and labour or only issues causing breakdown? For example if I discover issue as a part of routine service, would it be covered too?

Read the documentation.

It's pretty clear that the policy does not cover anything detected during a service or MOT. It only covers faults that lead to a breakdown.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
I bet the OP had a dastardly plan to buy the policy and then give his car a total overhaul...0

No plan like that at all. Just wanted to make sure it is worth paying £24 a month vs £4.60 for Green Flag. I read the policy but wasnt 100% sure so just wanted to double check. Thanks for clarification.0

£4.60/mo = £55.20/yr. That might be basic roadside recovery, but no more than that. You aren't comparing apples with apples.
The question is more one of whether you think you'll get £288 (minus breakdown cover) per year out of the parts and labour warranty. Remember, all of these policies are a gamble that your car is going to be significantly LESS reliable than average.0
