I have paid £600 deposit on a Carribean holiday.I am due to make the final payement of £2700 pound on Tuesday. I am due to fly late in May. Do I just accept a loss of over £800 thats including the Tavel ins. Or pay the total, and chance loosing over £3400? I pay by credit card

If you don't pay you will probably lose your deposit and the fact that you paid by credit card will make no difference, you have breached the contract.
You may owe more than the deposit depending on your contract and the time before the holiday.0 -
Am concerned about the virus issue, if i pay the full amount, then in May, the government say you can fly to the Carribean, but i still feel uncomfortable doing this, I may loose the total amount. Or I may have a claim on my credit card. Thinking of worse case scenario, and the travel insurance going to the wall??0

If the holiday is still available and you cancel through choice, I doubt your insurance would cover it. Certainly not your credit card.
I think the safest thing is to pay the balance in the (almost certain) expectation that the holiday won't be available and you'll get a full refund. If you're uneasy doing that, cancel now, forego your deposit (and any other payments your contract makes you liable for) and don't put the larger sum at risk.0 -
It seems to be the case, that instead of refunding the amount, some companies are trying to give vouchers. I think this needs to be verified. I would not want any vouchers, i would want my money back. If anyone can confirm this, then that would be great.0

@tsmiggy54: That is the case. Multiple threads on this forum about the subject.0
