Am I eligible for 80% payment of salary!

Can anyone help? I have a limited company and I pay myself a salary through paye each month. I will be out of work now for the duration of this crisis with no income. Can I claim 80% of my salary? I am an employee of my company? I can’t find any answers anyway and would really appreciate some clarification at this very uncertain time.

I think not. My understanding is that the help is for employees on furlough which means they do no work for the employer. As the owner of the company and ongoing director I don't think you can meet these requirements.
you will need to claim Universal Credit if you are eligible.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -

Sorry, I edited as you posted. No, I have no idea when government will post more details.leoni0211 said:Thank you for your reply any idea when this will be?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
My partner also has a limited company can we qualify if we go on each other’s payrolls?0

No. The support is about keeping existing workers on the payroll even though there’s ino work for them. You can’t get support for new workers.leoni0211 said:My partner also has a limited company can we qualify if we go on each other’s payrolls?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Do you know if I can get any other help as a small company? I’ve checked out the 10k grant but not sure I fall into that category either. I don’t understand what sbbr is? And it says local authorities will write to you if eligible0

Sbrr I think refers to https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-business-rate-relief/small-business-rate-reliefInformation I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

Thank you for that link I don’t have premises as I work from home so I guess this is a dead end too. If there is any other help you think I may be eligible please let me know0

Look at Universal Credit https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/universal-credit/
use a benefits calculator to assess possible entitlement https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators
note - I don’t think these include the uplift in standard alllowances announced on Friday.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
