Sorry garethmcbride1, I don't really understand your question.  Are you registered on the Electoral Register at your current address?  Are your credit accounts listed on your credit file using the same address as your ER?
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job

  • I am not on the electoral register at my current address and have only recently moved in. Basically I'm off grid but want to apply for a temp job at tesco's and my identity neeeds to be verified by onfido. After this will companies be able to see my new address on my credit file?

Potentially if they use an address search function.

CRA's will allow access to some of the data fields for debtors to search for new addresses you may have popped up at.

Depends if the benefits of being "off grid"/untraceable outweigh the need for income.

  • Recently had to let my credit card balance go to debt recovery.  On the same date I had a phone appointment to discuss my income and outgoings with RBS a 'soft search' credit check, made by RBS Telecom,  was done on my daughter's credit using my name and date of birth but at her address.  I have never used her address for anything and my daughter hasn't lived with me for over 20 years! Can anyone tell me why this check was done using her address?

    Probably a tracing check.
But if it’s a soft search then it doesn’t matter.
