Malaysia airlines - 6 to 8 weeks to process refund?!

Hello,
After some pleading and begging with Malaysia Airlines, an agent verbally confirmed that they would refund a trip I had booked for early April and that I would be given a full refund. However, she said that it would take 6-8 weeks to process the refund and that at this time they cannot give an email confirming the refund because of the number of cancellations. Whilst very grateful they are willing to refund, having pointed out the stark travel advice to them, does this not seem a bit dodgy? I'm concerned they won't exist in that timeframe!
