Travel republic hotel booking

Hi there,

I was just looking for some advice. I have a hotel only booking for Florida in may. I contacted them due to the current situation and they say as it's a non changeable rate that I booked with they won't even amend the date!

are they right with this information? It seems a bit strange.

any help would be much appreciated.

If you did indeed book the non-refundable rate then it's non-refundable.   They have introduced some flexibility however for bookings made after 6 March. Some hotels and travel companies have been offering gestures of goodwill in these cases in the form of a credit voucher.

Do you have any travel insurance as that might be a way forward? People with package holidays have considerably more protection but if you put it together yourself, you are subject to the terms you agreed at the time of booking
