Self-distancing, not self-isolating

Hello,
My son's partner has Type 2 Diabetes and so under the current guidelines is instructed to adopt self-distancing measures like the wider population but adhere to them particularly stringently.  As she works with adults with learning disabilities, mainly in a house setting, but also taking them for walks etc, this will be very difficult. My question is, if she chooses to follow advice and stays off work, is she entitled to SSP as she has no symptoms and would not be self-isolating, simply following government advice?
Thanks

I think the answer is no. People are treated as sick while ill or self-isolating. Social distancing is different and people who are social distancing are not, as I understand it, entitled to be treated as sick.

I am not clear whether if his employee pays him he will count as an eligible employee in these circumstances for support from the government to pay the wage.

At the moment people are asking questions but we don't have the policy details which would provide clarity.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
