Shopping and low stock

We have been trying to buy essentials and things such as cat food for days now, by going to shops and online orders.
Our online order had over £70 worth of items removed because they are out of stock, we are on Universal Credit. The same goes for in-store, we went to 3 supermarkets today, no beard, no milk, no pasta, no cat food.... Its getting ridiculous.
When do people thing the stocking issues are goi9ng to get under control, both in-store and online? and is there anything else the government is thinking of doing to help ease all these issues.
We are very worried that we are going to run out of things pretty quickly, we are on a tight budget and cant afford to buy more expensive items.

Just checked their online shop, everything's going out of stock quick.
did find stock and good deals at petplanet.co.uk0 -
Try local shops. In my area, they seem to have most things. They aren't overcharging either, on the whole. One shop tried to charge an extortionate amount for hand sanitiser, and was immediately criticised very strongly on local FB pages. Most shops are decent though.

Yeah, we tried our local Co-op, we got there early and they seemed to have most things, but by 10 am they had sold out of essentials milk, bread, etc...
so I think that's the solution get to local shop early and often just by what we need and go on from there.0
