Should I cancel and accept a loss?

We have a holiday booked for 9th May for a week in the Azores. The way things are it is looking extremely unlikely that this is going to happen so we are considering cancelling. To cancel now we will have to pay the flight and an additional £30 each so circa £430'ish. If we leave it until we have less than 30 days to go then it will cost us £150 each to cancel plus the flight so about £650'ish. If we continue to pay and they cancel then we should get a full refund, should being the optimum word, when is the big question...
Anyway what do you think we should do? Cancel now or continue payments and hope for a full refund?
