can I do a charge back on my credit card for this ?

Hi
I hope some of you lovely people might be able to offer me some advice
like millions of others we have had our travel plans go down the drain this week - we booked and paid for a holiday to Australia for our family of 4 to my Godsons wedding
Not TOO worried about the hotel refund at the minute as I got some excellent advice on the travel board
BUT on 27th February I paid $1232 ( about £660) and booked a Bridge climb on the Sydney Harbour Bridge  which was due to take place on 7th April
now we were only going to Australia FOR the wedding ( it's not a place we would ever have as a destination holiday as hubby is 63, I'm 58 and our sons are 28 and 29 ) and we prefer holidays closer to home
so like many others I asked the bridge climb company for a refund as obviously we aren't even allowed into Australia - I thought they might want to keep a percentage of the money paid to cover their "admin" costs ( not that there were a lot I booked it all online)  but they are insisting on a voucher to use again - it's completely useless to us now- and our Godson who lives in Australia has done the bridge climb - so wouldn't want to do it again and we do't know anybody who would use it.
I really can't afford to write off that amount of money- especially in the current financial climate, so i wondered if anybody thought this might be a situation which I could ask my credit card supplier for a charge back ?
I;ve never done one before, so don't really know if it's feasible - the whole situation has made me so cross because the company hasn't had to expend ANY funds on the climb for us - the bridge is already there ! and it is quite likely that very soon they will be told to stop doing the climbs and go into lockdown - there will be plenty of people in our situation who will never claim their voucher so the company literally has our money for nothing - other places we booked such as the Opera house tours etc have offered full refunds- but this company is adamant they need the money to stay afloat - which makes me a bit miffed as I could do with it to stay afloat now too !
any advice appreciate- sorry for the essay.

You'd only get a refund if it's allowed for in their terms.

A chargeback won't work as the company has not cancelled your booking.

As above really. I can sympathize with your position but from the Bridge Company point of view you they have done nothing wrong the climb is still available it is just that you can't get there

You may be able to claim on your travel insurance - depends of it covers you for this

thanks, I suspected that might be the case !      I am going to wait a little while and see if the company is required by the Australian government to close down, if they are then I will give it a go- but I didn't want to waste my time if it was a long shot!
The travel insurance MIGHT have worked but I have recently been treated for Cancer so had to find new travel insurance in January and the only one I could find to cover me which I could afford had a voluntary £500 excess- so I'd only get about £160 back and to be honest, it's probably not worth the hassle!   thanks for answering
