Hi, recieved a quote for my car on webuyanycar website, emails says price is guaranteed for 7 days.
Went to book an appointment for tomorrow, says valuation has expired. Website now says the guarantees are only for 24 hours, they have amended their guarantee to that.

A quick look at their twitter shows them replying to people saying they are no longer honoring there 7 day quotes. Is this legal?
Do we have any options legally that means webuyanycar are binded to buy at the price quoted in the guarantee? The only terms I see is reasonable deductions can be made from offer for any damage to car etc. Which makes sense, offer previously was 20k new valuation is 12k, clearly not enough for damage and this is obviously before viewing. Totally disregarding their previous 7 day guarantee.

If they haven't seen the car then that is just the maximum they will offer subject to inspecting the vehicle.0

Whats your option? Force them to buy it?
Sadly, i think you'll have to write this off to experience.1 -
Is this legal? Yep - you haven't entered into a contract with them at this stage.
I suspect that auctions will mostly be closing down, so any cars they buy will be sitting around for a very long time.0 -
It's been all over Pistonheads. Nobody is buying cars any more. WBAC, Arnold Clark, etc, etc.
If they do, they're going to pay below book.
Desperate times, desperate measures.

why wouldnt it be legal for them to change terms before they have seen the car?

There must be hundreds of thousands of taxi drivers redundant now, desperate to sell their cars to pay the rent.
And millions of other people out of work not able to pay the monthly car payments. The PCP bubble is about to burst.
