Travel insurance up for renewal before travel

Hello, myself and my husband have an annual travel insurance with insure for.com and have been with them for a couple of years. There is a comment on their website that says if you take out your travel insurance after 17th March then you are not covered for the Coronavirus. Our policy is up for renewal next month (April), we have holidays booked in June, July and September. I have rang insurefor.com up today and asked the question ‘if we automatically renew our insurance next month are we still going to be covered for the Coronavirus?’ They have said no. What am I meant to do? I was insured when the holidays were booked and can’t do anything about the renewal date! So now I am thinking that if the holidays are cancelled due to the Coronavirus, we are not going to be covered and will lose all of our money?! What can I do? Thank you, Kimberley.
