Conference Calls

My landline is with Talk Talk, I recently took part in a Conference Telephone Call using my landline via "Powwowwow" who advertise their charges are around £3.50p an hour --I have now found out the bill for just over one hour was £12.83 --can anyone recommend a cheaper way to make these type of calls ?

PowWowNow uses premium rate numbers where you pay an Access Charge to your phone provider and a Service Charge to the conference call provider.

Try WhyPay.net for a conference call system that uses 03 numbers so the call is simply inclusive in your allowance on landlines and on mobiles.

Powwowwow on a UK 0844 4 number charge £0.0580 + VAT per minute. Which is going to be about £3.50 an hour 
TalkTalk charge 12p per minute access charge to call those numbers.
