Car Finance

My son who is a few weeks away from losing his job is in a panic over various things due to coronavirus but I wanted to ask if he would be able to get any help with car finance? Does anyone know if finance companies are allowing customers time out or reduced payment plans so they don't default on their payments?
Any information would be really helpful.

Best to speak to them early on I suspect. He won't be the only one, and I would think if he can come up with a realistic payment plan he has a good chance of a sympathetic hearing. It's also worth bearing in mind that even if he needs to default, that is not something that can't be overcome
