Offered 50p reduction from Virgin if I cancelled sky sports

Hi has anyone managed to save money by cancelling sky sports with virgin. They told me I would save 50p if I removed them from the package!! I don’t think it costs 50p to add it!

I had an easy phone call with them yesterday. I'm out of contract if that makes a difference. I asked to cancel sky sports and he offered me 3 months free (the sky sports not the whole thing!), with no change to the contract.
