Another vote for Fairy non-bio.  I find it's the only thing that doesn't bring me out in a rash.  Also, it is often on special offer which is when I stock up.

  • Unfortunately, there are few purchase options for scent free washing powder and liquid.
I am very sensitive to perfumes (aftershave being worn makes me sneeze, I can taste perfume and even just walking down the washing powder isle in the supermarket sets me off sneezing).
Many of the options suggested so far (even the Fairy non-bio) are very powerfully (and awfully scented) for someone like me.

I used to use Ecover.  However, since they were purchased by the company who make Haze air freshers they have 'gently scented' their washing powder.  This means it now smells vile.  The liquid is worse than the powder and the smell clings to the clothes.  I did try 'cutting' the powder with soda crystals, but the smell was still too bad.

I currently use soap nuts and have found them OK.  They smell weird (of vinegar), but they do not scent the clothes.  Other than that I have bought unscented from niche companies and all have been good, but at £15.00 for a small bottle it is too expensive to buy all the time.
