Recommend me a laundry liquid please

Now Waitrose no longer do the original non-concentrated version of their Sensitive laundry liquid, we're on the hunt for a substitute.  So ... recommendations please for a laundry liquid which gets clothes clean but doesn't make them stink!
I know of Ecover, but it's a bit dear.  Surely somebody does a pong-free alternative?

Thanks, but from the reviews I've read they're not very effective.  And that's borne out by the experience of a neighbour who tried them last year.

I use Splosh. Started using it as my son has eczema, It works brilliantly. Clothes have a very faint scent which is ok by me as I don't like strong perfumes.
They post it to you in a refillable pouch which you then send back to them free of charge and they recycle the pouches.

My daughter uses Fairy, she has terrible eczema and Fairy doesn't affect her  skin at all unlike other detergents.
It also doesn't seem to have a fragrance but cleans realy well.

Thanks Ellieduval.  Is that the one that's called "Fairy Non-Bio" then?

Try a powder instead.  Powders generally clean more effectively so you don't need to use lots and then they rinse out better too, so you shouldn't be bothered by excessive smell.

We use Tesco's own brand (not the value one) biological powder.  It doesn't smell of anything much once rinsed out and is an effective cleaner.

I assume it's 'try the supermarket's cheapest laundry range as they work just as well, Asda smart for eg'

I don’t know how eco it is (suspect it’s not) but DS especially, and me to a lesser extent can be a bit sensitive so I always use Fairy liquid or pods. Whatever you choose I think non biological is best for not causing reactions.
